Our decorative throws were designed primarily for the foot of the bed (couvre pied in French) but are also perfectly at home as a runner for a large square or round table, draped over the back of a sofa or chair or covering a grand piano.
Our throws are made from vintage, modern and antique obi with dupioni silk, silk taffeta or microsuede backing, decorative cording and tassels or bouillon fringe. The throws are available in queen size which are approximately 24” - 26” wide by 86” long, plus the tassels or fringe; and in king size 24” - 31” wide by 106” long, plus the tassels or fringe.
The throws are lined and padded for a soft, luxurious, silky feel and elegant beauty. Because the obi are all one-of-a-kind and the trim and backing are individually selected for each throw, no two are the same. All are as individual as the people who appreciate their unique beauty! Styles range from vivid contemporary to subtle, traditional designs and colors.
Also available with most throws (but sold separately) are coordinating pillows, another exclusive design from the CMC Collection. Each coordinating pillow features a fragment of the obi used to make the throw, but the trims and backings are selected to compliment, but not exactly match, the throw.
